celebrate /'selɪbreɪt/ v.庆祝

celebrate既可作及物动词又可作不及物动词，其过去式和过去分词都是在词尾加­d。

eg：We celebrated our motherland's sixty-fourth birthday on October 1st，2013.

辨析celebrate与congratulate

celebrate主要用于庆祝仪式、胜利、典礼等。

congratulate常用于庆祝或祝贺某人某事，

常用短语：congratulate sb. on sth.。

watch /wɒtʃ/ vt. 观看，注视

强调动作用look，若接宾语加at。

强调结果要用see，读书看报多用read。
